Folsom Blue

The identity and legacy of denim within the prison uniform in the 1950s and 1960s is shown through film and country music alike. Influenced by Johnny Cash’s 1957 hit Folsom Prison Blues, the monochromatic and western influence of the historical incarcerated attire sprouted the inspiration exploring a contemporary and minimalistic look at prison blues.
